Meet Sookie, a sweet 1-year-old pit bull who weighs in at a petite 45 lbs. She’s currently stressed at the shelter, often scratching at her kennel and injuring her paws. I've been taking her on day trips and seen a noticeable reduction in her stress when she's away from the shelter.
Sookie’s ideal adopter should:
* Be active and willing to take her on outings, helping her adjust to life outside the shelter.
* Enjoy playing fetch or have a basket full of toys for her to entertain herself with.
* Provide structure and basic training. She's already learned "sit" and "down” but as a young pup, she will benefit from continued training.
* Know she may not be suited for a household with another pet at this time but she has potential with the right training in a loving home.
What you can expect from Sookie:
* A fun, loving companion who will bring joy and laughter into your life.
* A deep connection with her as she thrives on companionship.
* A chance to create lasting memories with a dog who will become your loyal friend.
If you're ready for a positive change in your life and the sound of laughter in your home, come meet Sookie! Feel free to reach out to me to arrange a meet-and-greet.
Sookie is spayed, microchipped and current on vaccinations. $50 adoption fee waived for veterans.
